Gnocchi – Why it’s so good for you

For those of you who don’t know what gnocchi is, it’s a small dense type of pasta usually made from potatoes, eggs and flour. It goes very well with pasta sauces, vegetables, meats and salads, and around 1 cup of potato gnocchi contains around 13 grams of fat. There isn’t a great deal of protein in this pasta, and at the end of the day it is a carbohydrate, meaning you do need to eat it in moderation and serve it with the right foods. We recommend having a small portion of gnocchi with lean meat like chicken breast or turkey steak, and grilled vegetables, that way you’re getting healthy fats, vitamins, proteins and carbohydrates. It’s all about balance when it comes to living healthy and like many types of food, gnocchi can be a vital part of that healthy balance.
